Notary in Denton County, Texas
A Texas notary has statewide jurisdiction (Tex. Gov’t Code §406.003), so you can use any Texas notary, in this county or elsewhere.
What the county says
- Denton County Law Library (121 N Woodrow Lane, Suite 160, Denton): its page says “There is not a Notary at the Library.” Source: Denton County Law Library.
- County Clerk, assumed names (DBA) only: if you file a DBA in person, you can sign the application in front of a clerk (with a valid driver’s license) instead of a notary. The fee is $23 if already notarized, $24 if the clerk witnesses the signature. This is not general notary service. Source: Denton County: Assumed Names.
Banks, credit unions, shipping stores and other county offices may also offer notary service, but we have not confirmed one from its own page. Call ahead to confirm whether a notary is on site, the fee, and whether non-customers are served.
