Jail notary in Dallas County

For a person in Dallas County custody

The Dallas County Sheriff’s inmate handbook says an inmate who needs notary service should submit a Notary Kite for their housing location (Inmate Rules Handbook, Dec. 2025). The Sheriff’s Court/Attorney Liaison ([email protected]) handles court documents to be received or signed by an inmate (Attorney Visitation).

Visiting the jail

General visits are limited to one 20-minute visit per day and two per week; attorney, law enforcement and professional visits do not count toward the weekly limit unless a supervisor approves otherwise (Sheriff visitation page). We have not found a Sheriff’s page describing how an outside mobile notary is admitted. Call jail information at 214-761-9025 before sending a notary.

Rules that still apply

Other counties (Tarrant, Collin, Denton and more) have their own jail rules; check with that county sheriff.
